“Forever Unemployed”

yeah, so this person went to jail for burning down a sheepskin factory, leather factory, and a restaurant that served foie gras.those small, brave acts are so much more important than whatever piece of shit jobs your cowardly lives will have. http://www.supportwalter.org/

I lub this guy.

How can that really be supported? Even if I had the same beliefs as this guy, I still wouldn’t condone it.
It’s ridiculous. If people want their view to be accepted and, in turn, respected, I don’t feel actions like this are the correct way to go about it. No matter what the subject in hand is.
This is what’s wrong with everything. Everybody forcing their own beliefs down everybody else’s throats rather than accepting that people want to believe what they want to believe and live how they want to live. This doesn’t even strike me as some profound action and this guy will be pegged as some martyr carrying out “what needs to be done” in aid of some massive cause. It’s completely ridiculous. And the “those small, brave acts are so much more important than whatever piece of shit jobs your cowardly lives will have.” comment is just as pointless and misinformed. Just because somebody may have an opposing view to what you believe in, their lives are now cowardly and pointless? They aren’t small, brave acts, they are petty, pointless deeds, that have achieved nothing but inflate this guy’s ego and boost some kind of righteousness in his mind.
There’s nothing intelligent or well formed about this. It’s absolutely pointless.

I don’t have the motivation or time to look into this guy before class, but if any of these “small, brave acts” endangered human lives, then he is a fucking psychopath and shouldn’t be admired.
Man, what a huge leap for vegans! Now everyone will totally respect you! No. What this guy did was commit arson and put a lot of people out of work, especially in times like these. He’s not brave, he’s fucking insane. Even if no humans got hurt in the fires, he still ruined businesses. Most restaurants serve meat, get the fuck over it. You can’t burn every single one down. And even if you do, no one’s going to understand your point. You will just be seen as insane and a threat to society, which this guy is.  Try educating people on the dangers of meat consumption/production, idiots. You crazy fuck vegans should find a new hero. Dan Yemin?
I have zero opinion on this issue and am not going to discuss it, at all.
Instead I’m just gonna add two bullet points:
Every time I see this getting reblogged, I keep thinking it’s Earth Crisis face-tattoo guy.
EVERYONE should have Dan Yemin as a hero

I was gonna write something about this earlier but then felt like my head would fucking explode while trying to make sense of it. Now, I would just like to ask if anyone remembers who Gandhi was and what non-violent civil disobedience is. If this is an act of bravery then I’m fine with staying a coward for the rest of my life.

You can support John Brown and Martin Luther King, Jr. at the same time. Everyone acts as they see fit.
